Fire Investigation Industries was formed in August 2015 by Donald P. Roe with the intent to provide professional fire investigation services, training, and research. In January 2016, Donald P. Roe joined forces with Jeremy Davis and Samantha Peek to expand the company and created the three divisions we have today: Operations, Training, and Research/Marketing.
Since then FII has been on some very large cases including the tragic "Ghost Ship Fire" that occurred in Oakland, CA on December 2nd, 2016, and resulted in the loss of 36 lives, the tragic "San Pablo Fire" that took place in a three-story halfway house in Oakland CA and killed four people, and the disastrous 2019 "Camp Fire" that claimed 88 lives and decimated the entire City of Paradise.
Our company consists of Certified Fire Investigators (CFI) and Evidence Collection Technicians (ECT) through the International Association of Fire Investigators (IAAI). We also have fire investigators certified through the California State Fire Marshals Office and backgrounds in both the public (Fire Department) and private sectors (Insurance and Legal).
Our company has worked with large law firms from San Francisco Bay Area, Southern California and New York for both plaintiffs and defendants. We are also active in the insurance claims industry and have worked with large insurance companies such as Farmers, Nationwide, and Liberty Mutual, as well as Independent Claims Adjusters.
